Support
Lektu records lectures on iPhone, transcribes them on the device, and separates speakers — all without sending audio anywhere. If something isn't working, the notes below should help.
Getting started
What do I need?
Lektu requires iPhone 17 or later running iOS 18.6 or later.
Why does the speech model need to download?
The model is about 452 MB and downloads once over Wi-Fi. After that, transcription runs entirely on the phone with no network needed. Leave Lektu open while a lecture is transcribing.
Can I use earbuds?
Yes. The microphone can be the iPhone or connected earbuds.
Recording
Will recording stop when the screen locks?
No. Recording continues while the phone is locked.
What does voice isolation do?
Apple's voice isolation keeps the lecturer's voice and quiets the room — noise, hiss, and echo. You can turn it off, or adjust the mix during the recording.
Subscription
How much does Lektu cost?
Lektu is free to download. Full use is Lektu Monthly, one month, $0.99 per month in the US. The price in your country is on the purchase screen.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel the subscription in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
How do I cancel?
Open Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions and cancel there. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
How do I restore a purchase on a new phone?
Tap Restore on the subscription screen inside Lektu.
Privacy
Does Lektu upload my recordings?
No. Recordings and transcripts stay on the iPhone. Speech recognition, speaker separation, and Hebrew repair run on the phone.
What about summaries?
Summaries are optional. Transcript text is sent to Google Gemini only when you tap Summarize or ask a question. Skipping that sends nothing.
